Conclusion of Japanese Internment Camps
- The Japanese internment camps occurred during World War 2, President Roosevelt issued an executive order that gave military power to make Japanese people leave there homes and go to government war camps in the name of national defense.
- The American public was frightened after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, due to this people started to think that many Japanese people living in America were spys for Japan.
- The Japanese internment camps occurred when mass hysteria struck America, people were sure that Japanese people were on Japan's side and were plotting to overthrow America.
- It was this kind of thinking that justified this harsh action of relocating 110,000 Japanese Americans into war Internment camps.
- Japanese internment camps resemble the Crucible because during both times there was mass hysteria due to terror and then rash actions.

This is a first hand account from the Japanese Internment Camps told by Yaeko Nakano
- Will History Repeat Itself?
- What we as Americans can learn from this horrific event is that when our country is in a state of panic we need to calm down and think of a solution and not create more issues.
- The possibility of this happening in America in a time of peace is very low because when peoples judgment is not clouded by fear we make very thought out and rash decisions.
- However humans have been known to act rashly while in a state of panic. There is no way of telling if this will happen in America again, but if you look at history many times when a group has been in extreme fear they have acted rashly.
- What can be learned from mass hysteria during the Japanese internment camps is that due to actions produced by fear many people will suffer. If people do not learn how to deal with mass hysteria history will keep repeating itself and many people will suffer.
- If people as a whole come together during a time of mass hysteria they will overcome the oppression and reunite even stronger that before. The last thing that people should do is start blaming people or groups of people for the hysteria because that only creates new issues and does not solve any of the preexisting problems.
